Is there a waiting period?
No, there is no waiting period for wellness! You can submit wellness claims on or after the policy effective date given in your enrollment confirmation email.
How do I submit wellness claims?
You submit wellness claims the same way you submit claims for injury or illness: through the Fetch Pet Insurance app or your online account.
What you need
To submit a wellness claim, the only document you need is a finalized invoice from your vet showing what kind of care your pet received and how much you were charged. An invoice has to show a zero balance or that it was paid in full in order for us to accept it.

What happens next?
Claims are typically processed within 15 days from when we receive your invoice. We’ll email you with updates, so keep an eye on your inbox. And be sure to set up direct deposit now if you haven’t already — it gets you paid back 5-10 days faster than checks do.
How does reimbursement work?
Reimbursement for wellness claims is simple: you’ll be reimbursed the full amount for a covered benefit until you hit the annual coverage amount for that benefit. There is no deductible or reimbursement rate.
For example, let’s say you take your pet to the vet’s office for a routine dental cleaning that costs $75, and your annual coverage amount for dental cleaning is $100. You’ll be reimbursed the full $75.

Annual exam
A nose-to-tail exam to make sure your pet is healthy and find any hidden signs of illness.
Vaccinations
Protection against diseases like rabies, distemper in dogs and viral rhinotracheitis in cats.
Heartworm, flea & tick prevention
Preventive medication to keep your pet safe from harmful parasites and disease-carrying insects.
Dental cleaning
More than just a good brushing. A comprehensive oral exam to detect and treat dental disease.
Spaying or neutering
Procedures with health benefits like preventing certain cancers and behavioral issues.
Blood, urine & fecal tests
Tests to show how well your pet’s body is functioning, catch illnesses early, and detect harmful parasites.
Is there a time limit for wellness claims?
Yes. Just like claims for injury or illness, wellness claims have to be filed within 90 days. If you submit a claim more than 90 days after the date of service, it won’t be covered.
