Fetch works on a reimbursement model. You pay your veterinarian, then we pay you back. You can use any vet in the U.S. or Canada.

Pet wellness FAQs
How does adding wellness enhance Fetch Pet Insurance?
Fetch already has comprehensive coverage when your pet gets sick or hurt. When you add Fetch Wellness, you'll also have coverage for the routine care that helps them stay healthy.
For example, an emergency vet visit for vomiting or a broken tooth is covered under injury and illness coverage. Routine care like vaccinations, heartworm prevention and dental cleaning would be covered under wellness.
Can I get a pet wellness plan on its own?
Fetch Wellness coverage is only available as an add-on to your Fetch Pet Insurance policy. With both, you'll have the total package for your pet's health — superior coverage for injuries and illnesses, plus routine and preventive care to help them stay healthy.
Is there a waiting period for pet wellness?
No, there is no waiting period for Fetch Wellness. You can submit wellness claims on or after the effective date that's given in your enrollment confirmation email. In other words, you get wellness coverage on or after the day you enroll.1
How do I submit pet wellness claims?
You submit wellness claims the same way you submit claims for injury or illness — through the Fetch Pet Insurance app or your online account. The only document you need is a finalized fully paid invoice from your vet showing what kind of care your pet received and how much you were charged.
How does reimbursement work?
Reimbursement for wellness claims is simple: you'll be reimbursed the full amount for a covered benefit until you hit the annual coverage limit for that benefit. There is no deductible or reimbursement rate.
For example, let's say you take your dog to the vet for their bordatella vaccine and it costs $20. If your annual coverage amount for this vaccine is $25, you'll be reimbursed the full $20.
Is there a deductible for pet wellness?
No, there is no deductible for Fetch Wellness coverage.
What’s the cancellation policy?
You can cancel your wellness coverage within the first 30 days of your policy effective date if you have not filed a wellness claim. If you want to cancel after 30 days or you have filed a claim, you must cancel your entire injury and illness plus wellness coverage policy.
