History
North Shore Animal League America (Animal League America), which was established in 1944, is the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization. Spanning the organization’s 80-year history, they’ve rescued and placed over 1.2 million animals and developed best practices throughout the rescue community.
Mission
Animal League America’s mission is to Rescue, Nurture, Adopt and Educate — striving for a future in which all companion animals find responsible, loving homes where they are free from abuse, hunger, fear and loneliness and receive the care and respect they deserve.
