The freedom to choose any vet was crucial for this pup’s care during a busy holiday
When Amanda adopted her mixed-breed, Brindi, she wasn’t prepared for how often her dog would need to see a vet. As the bills added up, Amanda enrolled Brindi with Fetch Pet Insurance so she’d be prepared for their future together. Having that safety net was crucial when Brindi needed emergency care on a holiday when many veterinarian offices were closed. Here’s what Amanda said about the freedom to use any vet with Fetch.
Anaphylaxis due to bee sting
Medical costs: $2,357
Fetch paid back: $1,984

All vets are in network with Fetch, which was critical for Brindi’s emergency
“This was on July 4th, so there was a lot happening. We’d taken her to the park and at one point she kind of jumped back, like something had stung her. And suddenly her eyes were starting to get a little puffy where she got stung on her nose, and I found the stinger. It was all just getting really inflamed. And so we decided we needed to go find an emergency vet.
And this is on a holiday, so we went to two emergency rooms. They're all closed. And so there's another one that’s down the street from us and they always have people on staff. So we took her there and her face is puffy at this point. And by the time they had taken her back to be evaluated, she started to not be able to walk.”
Fetch’s complete coverage helped Amanda afford an overnight hospital stay and extensive care for Brindi
“They wanted a thousand-dollar deposit for the intake, and then the final cost would come later. And they wanted to keep her overnight and the cost of it really didn't come to my brain. Having to put a cost on your pet is just so weird and it's really hard. Not worrying about the financial issue was just one less thing to stress about and it really made the process a lot smoother.
I was able to pick her up the next morning, got everything paid up, and she was fine. A day or two later, she started vomiting some of her medicine, so I had to take her back to the ER. Luckily they didn't recharge me for the deposit, but they did charge for intake and for more medication and stuff like that. Again, I was able to say 'Okay, no problem, it's gonna get paid back.' I didn't really have to worry about it at all. After that she was totally fine, all the treatments went well and now she's back to good health, as if nothing happened.”

“Leo needed emergency surgery while we were in another state. We found an ophthalmologist who was able to provide the surgery. Submitted the claims and was reimbursed in a timely manner. Great service and the website was very easy to use.”

“Our kitten injured his middle nail on his right front paw. It was a weekend and our regular vet wasn't available. The vet ER took care of him, and we cannot say enough great things about them. It was a seamless experience. Thank you, Fetch! I have already shared with other pet owners how pleased we are with Fetch.”
