Between blockbuster movie sets and high-stakes NFL Sundays, life is pretty fast-paced for actress Hailee Steinfeld and quarterback Josh Allen. While Hailee is busy captivating audiences in movies like Sinners and Josh is leading the Buffalo Bills, the married couple finds their downtime centered around a much smaller, fluffier set of stars: their dogs, Teenie and Brando.
Martini was the first to arrive, joining the fold in early 2020. During a time when the world was slowing down, Martini provided 4 pounds of perfect companionship. Hailee said, “I was about to call off the search — maybe the universe is telling me to wait a few years? — then I met Martini. She was this perfect tiny baby, and I knew she was for me the second I held her. She actually didn’t feel real.” Martini quickly earned the nickname “Teenie,” though her full name comes straight from the film set. Hailee explained, “In film terms, ‘Martini’ means the last shot of the day; when the director yells ‘Martini,’ everyone starts packin’ up. Martini was the puppy I found right at the last second before calling the whole thing off.”
Often seen tucked into a designer tote or posing for a glam shot on Instagram, Martini has mastered the art of being a celebrity pet. Whether she is accompanying Hailee to a recording studio or relaxing at home, Martini represents the classic Yorkie charm — elegant, alert, and incredibly loyal.
Brando joined Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen’s family a few years later, to give Martini a BFF to play with. “When Brando came to us, he was one pound,” Hailee said. “He’d slip-n-slide across our hardwood floors. During his first week at home, I couldn't find him, and he turned up behind a box curled up on a carpet sample!”
While Martini likes her space, Brando is happiest curled up in someone’s lap. In fact, he’s not a fan of taking walks — he prefers to be carried (or taken on a road trip).
Though they’re expecting their first child later this year, it’s clear that the Hailee Steinfeld Josh Allen’s dogs will always have a permanent place in the couple's hearts. Whether they’re cheering on the Bills, hanging out on set or starring in their own photoshoots Martini and Brando are living their best pint-sized lives.
