  • If you need further assistance with correcting or removing any content you posted through the Services, you can email us at [email protected]. Removal of your posted content may not ensure complete or comprehensive removal from our computer systems.
  • We ask individual users to identify themselves and the information requested to be accessed, corrected, or removed before processing such requests. Note that, in an effort to prevent fraudulent or unauthorized requests for access, we may request identification for authentication purposes. We will generally respond to requests for access to Personal Information within 30 days.
  • We may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive or systematic, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backups), or relate to information that is not associated with your Personal Information, all as permitted by law.  In any case, where we provide information access and correction, we perform this service free of charge, except if doing so would require a disproportionate effort.

  • We support the development and implementation of a standard "do not track" browser feature that provides customers with control over the collection and use of information about their web-browsing activities. Once a standardized "do not track" feature is released, we intend to adhere to the browser settings accordingly.
  • You can opt out of receiving marketing e-mails from us by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in the e-mails.  Please note that it may take up to ten (10) business days for your opt-out request to be processed.  Also, even if you opt out of marketing e-mails, we may continue to send you certain account-related e-mails, such as notices about your account and confirmations of transactions you have requested.

    - When you quote or buy insurance on this site, create a Fetch Forward health report, or use the “Veterinary Portal”, we collect your e-mail address so that we can send you e-mails concerning your transactions with us, and other information we think you’ll find useful. Fetch will contact you only if you elect to be contacted. If you choose to receive e-mail messages, Fetch may periodically send you e-mail messages describing updates, new features or promotional offers related to this web site or the app. If you do not wish to receive informational e-mails, the only e-mail messages you will receive from Fetch will be in response to e-mail inquiries that you send us or e-mails regarding policy administration.

    - You may opt-out at any time from receiving SMS/text notifications respecting errors in processing your payments by replying “STOP” to any such message; however, please note that such messages are provided for your convenience, as declined payments may result in termination of your policy.

    - At any time, you can “opt-out” of receiving direct mail and marketing material from Fetch and our affiliates, such as product and service updates, by contacting us at the address set out below under Contact Fetch, by following the instructions included in any e-mail marketing message that you may receive, or by simply replying  to such an e-mail message stating your request, and we will make the requested changes.

  • Fetch maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards designed to protect your Personal Information from loss or from unauthorized access, alteration, use, disclosure or  destruction.
  • Fetch has a number of security measures in place to ensure that your data is secure and encrypted. We use an industry standard Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption, to allow for the encryption of sensitive Personal Information such as name, address, credit card and bank account information you may be requested to provide online. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be totally secure. Although Fetch strives to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our online products and services. • Important regulatory concerns tied to the Internet, system vulnerabilities, social engineering and the possibility of third-party negligence or malfeasance are all reasons why Fetch cannot guarantee that information will remain absolutely confidential at all times. Although we take precautions to secure your information and apply reasonable safeguards, your own secure best practices and those of any third-parties that you use are also essential to maintaining a secure environment. In addition, to the extent you provide or access information on Fetch’s systems through the use of a password, we encourage you to keep your password confidential and secure, as we cannot be responsible for acts resulting from the unauthorized use of your password or compromises to the security of your computers, networks or systems. The safety and security of your information also depends on you. We urge you to be careful about giving out information in public areas of the website. The information you share in public areas may be viewed by any user of the website.

11. Sharing and Protection of Personal Information

  • We restrict access to Personal Information in our possession to our employees, Service Providers, and Online Tool Providers who need to know that information in order to operate, develop, improve or support our Services. Fetch also maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to guard your Personal Information from unauthorized access, alteration or premature destruction.

12. Cookies and tracking technologies

  • Every time you use the Services (e.g., access a Service webpage, navigate to a specific location within the Service mobile app), we collect Personal Information and Non-Personal Information (discussed above in Section 2) regarding that use.  For example, to improve our Services, we collect how, when, and which parts of the Services or its features you use.  Also, we may use your device’s unique identifier (UDID) or other unique identifiers to assist us in collecting and analyzing this data. To assist us in collecting and storing this Non-Personal Information, we may employ a variety of technologies, including “Cookies,” local browser storage, and “web beacons,” “pixels,” or “tags.”
  • Like many commercial Internet sites, the Fetch website uses “Cookies”. “Cookies” are small text files stored on your device that identify your browser/device/IP address – but not you as an individual – to our computers each time you visit one of our websites. We place these in your computer’s browser to store your preferences relating to our website, and to display information specific to you.  A web beacon, pixel or tag is a small, usually-transparent image or script placed on a web page that allows the operator of that image or script, which may be the operator of the website you visit or a third party, to read or write a Cookie.
  • While a Cookie file enables the site to identify you as a unique user, cookies, operating exclusively, do not reveal to us your e-mail address or other Personal Information. Only you can provide that information to us on our website if you choose to do so, or if your browser preferences are set to do so automatically. “Cookies” help us to understand your usage of our website, so we can continually improve its usability. For example, we may use “Cookies” to personalize your experience, if you elect for us to do so, by remembering your account username on a log-in page.
  • During the period you are logged into our site, we log IP addresses (a number assigned to your computer when you use the Internet), browser and platform types, domain name, access times, referral data (the last site or URL you visited before logging into our site and the first site or URL you visit after leaving our site) and your activity while using our site.
  • You may set your web browser to notify you when you receive a Cookie or to not accept certain Cookie (these controls are typically found in the privacy settings for your browser). Please note that this procedure must be repeated on each device or browser that you may use. You do not need to enable Cookies to visit our websites; however, if you decide not to accept cookies when visiting one of our websites, you may not be able to take advantage of all of the features of that site. For example, the site will not remember your preferences and you may not be able to access customized content that has been created for you. Additionally, you may have to manually enter promotional codes and other discount codes as they would have been automatically set as part of your customization.
  • Cookies may also be used for targeted online advertising by Fetch and third-party merchants on third-party websites. We work with third-parties such as ad networks and other advertising companies that use their own tracking technologies (including cookies and pixel tags) on our websites and apps and other websites and apps in order to provide you with tailored advertisements on our behalf on third party websites across the Internet. These companies may collect information about your activity across your different devices on our websites and apps and third-party websites and apps (such as web pages you visit and your interaction with our advertising and other communications) and use this information to make predictions about your preferences, develop personalized content and deliver ads that are more relevant to you on third party websites and apps. This information may also be used to evaluate our online advertising campaigns.
  • To opt-out of receiving online behavioural advertising from third party advertising companies who collect data on our websites, please click on the AdChoices icon located in the top righthand corner of any of our websites. For more information about interest-based advertising on your desktop or mobile browser and to understand your options, including how you can opt-out of receiving behavioral ads from third-party advertising companies participating in the Digital Advertising Alliance, please visit the:

    - Network Advertising Initiative’s choices page or the Digital Advertising Alliance’s (“DAA”) choices page.  If you are reading this Privacy Policy from a mobile device, you can learn more about the DAA's mobile choices program here.
    - Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada (“DAAC”) website. To learn more about interest-based advertising in mobile apps and to opt out of this type of advertising by third-party advertising companies that participate in the DAAC’s AppChoices tool, please download the version of AppChoices for your device by clicking here.
  • Please note that even if you opt-out of interest-based advertising by a third party, these tracking technologies may still collect data for other purposes, including to produce aggregated website analytics, and you may still see ads from us; however, the ads will not be targeted based on behavioral information about you, and may therefore be less relevant to you and your interests.
  • To ensure you receive our e-mails, we (or our service provider) may include in our email messages small transparent graphic images  that allow us to record simple user actions related to our websites  and to email communications received from us, to help us determine the usage and effectiveness of our site and communications. These “images” are automatically loaded to your browser/device when you visit the website or open an html format email message from us, thereby letting us know if a certain page was visited or an email message was opened. This technology allows us to understand which pages you visit on our websites, which email messages were opened by you, which links you may have clicked on, and may also indicate whether your e-mail application supports graphics. These tracer tags are used to help us optimize and tailor our websites for you and future visitors as well as to optimize the format of the messages that we send to you.
  • To opt-out from our marketing platform’s persistent Cookies click here (please note that if you delete your Cookies or switch to a different browser you will have to repeat this procedure). Use of the Cookies by the marketing platforms is subject to their privacy policies. If you disable “Cookies” on your browser, the site will not remember your preferences and you may not be able to access customized content that has been created for you. You may also be able to set your browser to refuse all website storage or to indicate when it is permitted, but some features of our Services may not function properly without it. Additionally, you may have to manually enter promotional codes and other discount codes as they would have been automatically set as part of your customization.

13. Links to external websites

  • Fetch has established business relationships with third parties that allow visitors to link directly to or integrate with sites operated by these third parties. Such links are provided solely for your convenience and are not maintained by or under the control of Fetch. We make no warranties or representations about other Web sites. We recommend that you read the privacy and security policies of these sites so that you understand how those websites collect, use, share and protect your information.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may modify or update this Privacy Policy periodically with or without prior notice by posting the updated policy on this page. You can always check the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document to see when the Privacy Policy was last changed.  If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by reasonable means, which may be by e-mail or posting a notice of the changes on our website prior to the changes becoming effective.  We encourage you to check this Privacy Policy from time to time.  IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY, YOU MUST STOP USING THE SERVICES AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF SUCH CHANGES (WHICH IS THE “LAST UPDATED” DATE OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY).
